Unagi

Unagi is freshwater eel that has been filleted and grilled with sweet kabayaki sauce. Even better, it contains no MSG. We highly recommend using our unagi to create your own unadon or rice bowl topped with eel and sushi/sushi rolls.

Overnight Thawing Instructions: Carefully puncture vacuum pack. Be sure to puncture in a couple of places in the pack so that it thaws evenly. Next, place fillet on a plate to thaw for 8-10 hours. This slow thawing process maintains the quality and the texture of the fish. Do not refreeze.

Cooking Instructions:  Set oven to broil or 550 F. Place thawed and sliced unagi on a baking sheet and broil on high for 5-7 minutes.  No need to flip, Bon Appetit!
