Proper Thawing Guide
For best quality and food safety, always thaw your seafood correctly:
- Keep seafood vacuum-sealed or in a leak-proof bag
- Thaw overnight in the refrigerator (preferred method)
- For quicker thawing, submerge the sealed product in cold running water for 20–30 minutes
- Never thaw at room temperature or in warm water
- Once thawed, keep refrigerated and consume within 24 hours
Cutting & Preparation Method
Salmon (Sashimi Cut):
- Use a sharp knife and slice against the grain
- Cut into clean, smooth pieces about ¼ inch thick
- Wipe the blade between cuts for a clean presentation
Tuna Saku Block:
- Cut into uniform slices, about ¼–½ inch thick
- Slice in one smooth motion to avoid tearing the flesh
- Keep portions consistent for an even look
Japanese Scallops:
- If large, slice horizontally into 2–3 thinner rounds
- Can also be served whole for a more premium presentation
- Pat dry gently before plating
Plating Tips
Arrange slices neatly on a chilled plate. You can fan out the salmon and tuna, and place scallops in a small cluster. Garnish with shredded daikon, lemon wedges, or microgreens for an elevated look.
